From dazzling baubles to a Palm Springs oasis , the late Hollywood icon Elizabeth Taylor was a consummate collector of beautiful things. And if taste was measured in dollars, Christie’s’ auction of her jewelry that raked in $137 million would speak volumes.

The Cleopatra star was also known for her glamorous wardrobe, which continues to inspire around the world. To wit, luxury developer Caudwell recently revealed a trio of penthouses at Le Provençal , a former luxury hotel in Cap d’Antibes on the French Riviera that were inspired by the colors found in the many kaftans that Taylor frequently and famously wore beginning in the 1950s.

Coco Chanel, Winston Churchill, and Taylor herself are known to have stayed at or visited the Hôtel Provençal, an Art Deco-style edifice that was built by architect Lucien Stable in 1927 for American financier Frank Jay Gould. Now a landmark, its return as a £300 million ($382 million) residential address sparked numerous headlines this summer , and new renderings further reveal what to look forward to. Le Provençal comprises a ten-story complex offering a total of 39 residences, and the first of the Taylor-inspired aeries to come available can be yours for $43 million.

Le Provençal overlooks the Riviera’s coastline.

The trio of newly unveiled penthouses are located between floors eight and 11 of the building. Providing over 10,000 square feet of living space apiece, the mansion-sized abodes feature a collaborative layout between Caudwell and Affine Design with private balconies, covered loggias, and spacioius terraces. Two triplex penthouses sit on either side of the building, while the central penthouse spans four floors, with a 45-foot rooftop swimming pool being the literal cherry on top.

All of the homes feature interior designs inspired by Taylor’s colorful kaftans, which have been sold to stars like Naomi Campbell and designer Anna Sui, among others. Her looks, plus those of the Duchess of Windsor and fashion designer Pierre Cardin, are factored into the scheme of the rooms that aim to “reflect the glamour for which the area was renowned,” Caudwell says in a statement. One of the two triplex penthouses is now first on the market for over $40 million.

The available penthouse is one of the two triplexes. The entrance is on the ninth floor, where the foyer leads to a bespoke kitchen, open living spaces with coffered ceilings, and access to a private terrace with a mosaic-lined pool that stretches 22 feet. The 10th floor is considered a “VIP guest suite floor,” with a roomy suite for visitors. The primary suite is privately situated on the eighth floor and includes twin walk-in closets and dual marble bathrooms. Three additional en-suite bedrooms are also found on this floor. The eighth floor also offers a few entertainment options, like a fitness center and home theater.

As a resident, you also gain access to the property’s spa, cinema, and gym spaces, plus the on-site restaurant and a children’s playroom. Le Provençal is fixed on six acres of land with a 98-foot swimming pool. Between exploring the grounds and taking a dip, you’ll be living la dolce viita in no time. For inquiries, contact Caudwell or visit the Le Provençal website.
