Diana Taurasi's Horrific Outing For Team USA Vs. Belgium Has Caitlin Clark Fans Up In Arms

Team USA took care of business against Belgium on Thursday afternoon, as they coasted to an 87-74 victory. However, they didn't get any sort of production from one of their starters in Diana Taurasi.

While Taurasi is obviously a legend, she failed to record a single stat in her 14 minutes of action, as she missed all three of her shots and committed a pair of fouls.

Given the fact that star rookie Caitlin Clark was passed over in favor of Taurasi, fans everywhere were rightly livid with this performance. Unsurprisingly, there were a lot of folks bashing Taurasi and wondering why Clark wasn't chosen to be a part of USA's women's basketball team for the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Simply put, Taurasi did not look good in this game, as she made no impact on offense, and failed to stop anyone on defense.

With young stars like Clark on the come up, it's fair to wonder whether Team USA is better off with Taurasi than they would be with Clark.

Either way, the Americans should still have more than enough talent to go on and win gold in the Games, but Taurasi's performance against Belgium had Clark fans everywhere wondering why she was picked over the star Indiana Fever guard.
