    Who Is Olympic Swimmer Kate Douglass’ Boyfriend Jared Rayman?

    While the best female swimmer of all time, Katie Ledecky, continued her dominance in the pool at the 2024 Paris Olympics , a number of her U.S. teammates garnered a lot of attention as well in their quest for medals. That includes Kate Douglass who was looking to add to her hardware after taking home the bronze in Tokyo.

    On the world stage again in Paris, Douglass did just that winning the gold medal in the 200-meter breaststroke. Now, people want to know all about Douglass and who she’s dating. Here’s more on her rumored boyfriend, Jared Rayman, and why some college sports fans may recognize him.

    How long Douglass and Rayman have been together

    Douglass and Rayman have reportedly been together since at least September 2023 when he first appeared on her Instagram. Douglass shared photos of some hangouts with her friends, and the first picture is of her and Rayman hugging. She captioned it: “Cville recently.”

    Rayman appeared in another photo Douglass posted to her account from the U.S. Open Swimming Championship held in Greensboro, North Carolina, in December 2023. She shared a series of snaps from the event, writing, “Fun in Greensboro this weekend!”

    Fans were quick to point out the last photo shows her with Rayman, who was wearing a couple of her medals around his neck. Some commented with heart emojis while one person wrote, “Cute last pic,” and another said, “I love this a lot.”

    Rayman is a football player

    Like Douglass, Rayman is an athlete as well.

    He was born in 2001 in Atlanta to parents Rosalinda and Steve. He has one sibling, an older brother named Justin.

    Rayman attended Pace Academy High School where he played quarterback and was captain of the team in 2017 and 2018. After graduation, he enrolled in the University of Virginia and became the signal caller for the Cavaliers from 2019 to 2023. As a senior, he passed for 2,500 yards and 22 touchdowns. Rayman also rushed for 770 yards and 10 touchdowns and was the MVP on offense. He was forced to end his collegiate career due to an injury.

    Athletics run in Rayman’s blood as his grandfather, Joe Raymond, played baseball and was a prospect in the Brooklyn Dodgers organization.

    Rayman majored in public policy & leadership with a minor in Entrepreneurship. He is currently pursuing a graduate degree in education. His X (formerly Twitter) profile says that he works as a “Graduate Assistant Wide Receivers Coach at the University of Virginia,” a position he’s held since March 2024.

    Rayman is one of Douglass’ biggest supporters

    Douglass is considered not just the best swimmer in UVA history but one of the greatest swimmers in NCAA history. At the NCAA Championships in 2021, she won one gold medal and six silver medals. At the NCAA Championships in 2022, she won seven gold medals. And at the 2023 NCAA Championships, she won seven gold medals.

    Rayman has been cheering her on as one of her biggest supporters. He gushed about Douglass on social media and retweeted several of her swim trials and accomplishments before traveling to Paris with her family to watch her compete in the 2024 Olympic Games.
