Will the real Eminem please stand up?

Fans of the hitmaking rapper seem to think that they have found Eminem’s doppelganger at the 2024 Paris Olympics . Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Mauro Nespoli recently became the center of attention at the athletic competition for another reason besides his archery talent. His striking resemblance to the My Name Is rhymer also is why he has captured the eyes of many.

When the Olympic-level archer, who’s representing Italy, approached his mark he wore a fitting blue T-shirt and a white hat that looked similar to the bucket hats Em often wears.

Mauro gave a serious stare and furrowed brow as he appeared to be intensely concentrating on his target. In doing so, he favored the 2020 version of Eminem even more, especially in the eye and eyebrow region, albeit the rapper’s eyes are lighter. Not to mention they had the same colored beard, which was shaped similarly.

Many took to X, formerly Twitter, to point out how much Mauro and Eminem looked alike, dubbing the athlete an "Italian Eminem."

One X user wrote: "Italian Eminem about to lose himself in some archery." The social media commenter referenced Eminem’s hit song Lose Yourself. Another commenter joked back, "Italian Eminem eating mom's spaghetti it all makes sense now!" A third added,"If you have one shot or one opportunity," meanwhile, a fourth person teased: "Yoooo it's Marcello Mathers."

A fifth wrote, "Dear-a Slim, I wrot-a you but-a you still-a not-a callin'. OH!," referencing Eminem’s song Stan, which is about a fan wanting to be and look like the rapper. "Slim shady died but resurrected to sling arrows," someone else mentioned. "You know him as Marshall Mathers but he really he is Mario Matherio a competitive archer," one person quipped, insinuating that Eminem is leading a double life as an archer.

"We have not seen the US Eminem and The Italian Eminem together in the same room," one admitted. As another asked: "Will the real slim shady please stand up." All of the comparisons on social media have made their way to Mauro, and he addressed them in an Instagram post. In the post, he shared, his and Eminem’s faces were swapped.
