Team USA Swimming has raced its way to 20 Olympic medals in the pool at Paris La Défense Arena, bringing in four gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze medals, as of Thursday. Team USA has the most swimming medals of any country, followed by Australia (11) and China (7).

Men's 4x100-meter relay, July 27: Team USA's first gold medal of the Paris Games came in the men's 4x100-meter relay . The team of Jack Alexy, Chris Guiliano, Hunter Armstrong and Caeleb Dressel posted a blistering 3:09.28 time to win gold. Australia won silver and Italy raced to bronze.
Women's 100 butterfly, July 28: American swimmer Torri Huske won gold , her first career gold medal, in 55.59 seconds. Teammate Gretchen Walsh finished with the silver and China's Zhang Yufei won bronze.
Women's 1,500-meter free, July 31 : Katie Ledecky won gold in dominant fashion, setting an Olympic record of 15:30.02. France's Anastasiya Kirpichnikova and Germany's Isabel Gose won silver and bronze, respectively. Ledecky also won the event at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
Women's 200-meter breaststroke, Aug. 1: U.S. swimmer Kate Douglass is officially an Olympic champion , winning the women’s 200-meter breaststroke final with a time of 2:19. 24 — a new American record. South Africa's Tatjana Smith finished with the silver and the Netherland's Tes Schouten got bronze.

Women's 4x100-meter relay, July 27: Team USA , made up of Kate Douglass, Gretchen Walsh, Torri Huske and Simone Manuel, secured silver behind Australia. China finished with bronze.
Women's 100 butterfly, July 28: Gretchen Walsh won the silver in 55.63 seconds, only trailing fellow American Torri Huske. China's Zhang Yufei won bronze.
Men's 100-meter breaststroke, July 28: Nic Fink finally won himself an Olympic medal , tying world record holder Adam Peaty of Great Britain for silver in the men’s 100-meter breaststroke final. Italy's Nicolò Martinenghi won the gold.
Women's 400-meter IM, July 29: Katie Grimes won silver in the 400-meter individual medley, with Canada's Summer McIntosh finishing in first. Fellow American Emma Weyant earned bronze.
Men's 800-meter freestyle, July 30: Distance swimmer Bobby Finke wasn't able to defend his title in the 800-meter free. The American record holder in the men's 800-meter freestyle finished second in the event to win silver behind Ireland's Daniel Wiffen. Italy's Gregorio Paltrinieri picked up bronze.
Men's 4x200-meter relay, July 30: Team USA, made up of swimmers Luke Hobson, Carson Foster, Drew Kibler and Kieran Smith, raced to silver in the event final . Great Britain earned gold for the second consecutive Olympics, while Australia finished with bronze.
Women's 200-meter butterfly , Aug. 1: Regan Smith took home the silver medal in the 200-meter butterfly, her second of the Paris Games after picking up a silver in the 100-meter backstroke final. Canada's Summer McIntosh raced to gold, while China's Zhang Yufei earned bronze.
Women's 4x200-meter relay, Aug 1: Team USA, made up of Claire Weinstein, Paige Madden, Katie Ledecky and Erin Gemmell, posted a 7:40.86 time to win the silver medal in the relay event. Australia topped the podium with a new Olympic record, while China won bronze.

Men's 400-meter IM, July 28: Carson Foster took bronze in the men's 400 individual medley. Foster finished behind France's Léon Marchand and Japan's Tomoyuki Matsushita.
Men's 200-meter freestyle, July 29: Luke Hobson won bronze for his first Olympic medal in the men's 200-meter freestyle. Romania's David Popovici won gold and Great Britain's Matthew Richards took silver.
Men's 100-meter backstroke, July 29: Ryan Murphy extended his Olympic medal streak , marking his second consecutive Olympic bronze medal in the 100-meter backstroke. Italy's Thomas Ceccon won gold and China's Xu Jiayu took home silver. Murphy won gold in the men's 100-meter backstroke at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Women’s 400-meter IM, July 29: Emma Weyant won bronze in the women’s 400-meter individual medley, behind Canada's Summer McIntosh and fellow American Katie Grimes.
Women’s 100-meter backstroke, July 30: Katharine Berkoff won a bronze medal in the women’s 100-meter backstroke, finishing behind Australian Kaylee McKeown and teammate Regan Smith.
