    Olympics 2024 LIVE!

Team GB have already moved up the Paris medal table on Saturday, building on from a string of golden performances yesterday. The rowing lake has delivered more success for Great Britain, as the men’s eight claimed gold after the women’s eight took bronze in their final. Emma Wilson has dominated the windsurfing events this week, but it was a disappointing final and she had to settle for bronze . Britain’s total tally for the Games now stands at 32 medals and counting, after bronze in the dressage team final .

This afternoon, Jake Jarman took bronze in the men’s floor final, before Simone Biles won another gold in the women’s vault and Max Whitlock was denied a medal in a high-quality pommel horse final before bidding farewell to gymnastics as Rhys McClenaghan claimed a historic gold for Ireland. Imane Khelif - the Algerian boxer at the centre of this week’s Olympic gender row - defeated Hungary’s Anna Luca Hamori by unanimous decision in the women’s welterweight division to secure at least a bronze medal .

Remco Evenepoel won the men’s cycling road race while Zharnel Hughes kicked off his 100m campaign this morning and progressed, while team-mate Louie Hinchcliffe beat Noah Lyles in their heat but Jeremiah Azu was disqualified. The women’s 100m final takes centre stage on the athletics track tonight with more swimming finals also on the way.
