Following the success of Good Newwz, its makers recently brought another movie, Bad Newz, to the audience. However, this time, the film has a parental triangle that is as complicated as it could be. The movie stars Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk in the lead roles. It has been entertaining the audience in the theaters and earning millions at the box office. Bad News begins with the story of Saloni (played by Triptii Dimri). Saloni meets with Ananya Panday who is about to play her in her biopic. However, the actress wants to hear the story from Saloni and the latter begins to narrate it. It turns out that the story of Bad Newz is not just comedy and drama but is also a rollercoaster ride of emotions.

How does Saloni get pregnant with Akhil and Gurbir’s child?

Saloni, a sue chef in a hotel, reveals how she met Akhil (played by Vicky Kaushal) at a wedding. After spending some time with each other, the two decide to tie the knot. After their wedding, Akhil, a successful businessman, often visits Saloni at her restaurant. When the visits become too frequent and troublesome, they come between Saloni and her dream to win the Meraki Star. As a result, she decides to break up with Akhil and divorce him.

The two grow apart but find it difficult to move on from each other. While Saloni moves to Mussoorie for the job of head chef at Gurbir’s (played by Ammy Virk) hotel, Akhil tries to move ahead in his life. On their first wedding anniversary, Saloni ends up spending the night with Gurbir after watching videos and photos of Akhil with other women.

Regretting her decision, she returns to her room only to find out that Akhil has been waiting for her. The two rekindle their relationship and have a one-night stand. This leaves the three of them entangled for life. Saloni soon finds out she is pregnant but is confused about the father. As a result, she asks both Akhil and Gurbir to take the paternity test only to realize that the results are extremely shocking.

Turns out that it is a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation and both Akhil and Gurbir are the fathers of each twin. This ignites a battle between the two as they try to take better care of the children. Moreover, they also wish to become better and more deserving fathers.

Who does Saloni choose in the end?

Amid the battle, Saloni gets emotionally vulnerable as she makes the two realize how they are not treating her well. This leads to more fallouts between the three. However, at the end of Bad Newz, the twins help them get together. It turns out that Akhil’s child is healthy but the chances for Gurbir’s child to survive are very low. As a result, Saloni’s family has to decide whether she will have surgery for the twins’ delivery. While her parents wish to drop Gurbir’s child, Akhil makes a selfless decision for the babies.

Saloni delivers the twin babies and the three of them begin to co-parent. When she learns about what Akhil did, she falls for him once again. As time goes by in Bad Newz, Saloni finally succeeds in achieving her dream of winning the Meraki star. She proposes to Akhil and the latter agrees. Moreover, Saloni and Gurbir’s hotel also wins the Meraki star and the official felicitating the star is none other than the latter’s former girlfriend.

They also get back together at the event, as Bad Newz ends on a good note with everyone finding love and success in their lives. Moreover, Saloni, Akhil, and Gurbir enjoy parenting their twins.
