Tottenham Hotspur are on the lookout for a new striker this summer, according to manager Ange Postecoglou.
With Harry Kane's departure to Bayern Munich last year, Spurs have yet to bring in a direct replacement for their former star striker.
Postecoglou has confirmed that finding a new striker is a priority as the transfer window winds down.
Last season, Spurs struggled in front of goal, with only Heung-min Son and Richarlison reaching double figures in the Premier League. Son was the top scorer with 17 goals, while Richarlison netted 11 times. The team scored a total of 74 goals in the league, indicating a clear need for more firepower.

What Postecoglou said?
Ange Postecoglou confirms Spurs plan, stating:
“It's still the area of the park we're really probably the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously that's a focus for us,”
The Tottenham manager is also considering potential departures, with Standard Sport reporting that the club might be open to selling Richarlison this summer.
In the meantime, Dejan Kulusevski has been filling in up front during pre-season matches. Spurs have been apparently linked with several strikers, including Ivan Toney and Dominic Solanke.
With Spurs set to face Bayern Munich in Seoul this Saturday, Postecoglou plans to make changes to the team that recently defeated the K-League All Stars XI as he further added saying:
"Looking forward to finishing things up in a positive manner and hopefully a good way to finish it off.”
As Tottenham continues their pre-season preparations, the search for a new striker remains a crucial task for Postecoglou.
