Simone Biles has officially achieved GOAT status. After a legendary performance in the Artistic Gymnastics All-Around event, the American cemented her status as one of the greatest to ever do it. Biles notched her second gold medal in the event, a feat that only one other woman had done before her.

Biles took to Instagram to celebrate her win. She posted a photo of her during the event with a three-word caption, simply saying, "mental health matters."

The American gymnast faced a ton of backlash after she dropped out of the 2020 Olympics due to mental health troubles. It's clear that the star makes it a point to promote prioritizing your well-being.

The post drew a ton of positive reactions from fans and celebrities alike. Notably, fellow American Olympian Coco Gauff reacted to her post with "🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾", showing her support for the star.

The Artistic All-Around event started off rough for Biles, at least for her standards. A few mistakes in the uneven bars put her in third place after two rotations. Fans wondered if Biles could bounce back.

Well, she did so in incredible fashion. Biles performed spectacularly in the balance beam, showing off her agility and balance in her performance.

To close out the event, the gymnast had an incredible performance with her difficult floor exercise. She scored a whopping 15.066 to win the gold.

As for Gauff, her Olympic debut was quite the rollercoaster. Gauff advanced to the third round, but she fell to Donna Vekka. The loss wasn't without controversy, as Gauff argued one of the calls that the umpire made.

The US is currently in second place with nine gold medals in the 2024 Olympics. They currently have 39 total medals to their name.
