Real Housewives of New York City fans are probably just as familiar with the wives' homes on the show as they are with their personalities. The drama-fuelled reality series showcases the day-to-day lives of the Big Apple's socialites, but being an interiors-focused magazine, we can't help but admire the homes featured in the episodes. Case in point? Brynn Whitfield's Gramercy Park apartment.

The space is as stylish as it is calming, in large part due to its paint color choices. It's no surprise, then, that cult-favorite paint brand Farrow & Ball is responsible for the serene and sophisticated blush pink color showcased in the bedroom (it's Sulking Room Pink , to be exact).

Touches of magenta and pink are peppered through the space via a fluffy rug, plush curtains, and twinning rattan lamps, while a neutral bedframe encases the white bedding. It's dreamy, to say the least.

The ultimate blush? We think so. Available in a range of finishes, this pink paint works wonders everywhere from the bedroom to the bathroom.

Often associated with children's rooms and femininty, pink certainly has a youthful ambiance; however, its range proves that it can make a space feel mature, too.

'Decorating a home with pink can transform your space into a haven of elegance, warmth, and charm,' says designer Nina Lichtenstein. 'Often associated with love, tranquility, and sophistication, pink evokes a variety of moods depending on its shade and the context in which it is used. From soft blushes to vibrant fuchsias, pink is a versatile color that can enhance any room when used thoughtfully.'

She continues, 'Pink is a color that naturally evokes feelings of calmness and compassion. Soft, pastel pinks create a serene and soothing environment, ideal for relaxation and contemplation. In contrast, brighter, bolder pinks can energize a space, infusing it with vibrancy and creativity. Pink's ability to evoke such diverse moods makes it a valuable tool in home decoration, capable of adapting to different atmospheres and purposes.'

Choice of shade is dependent on the space that it will be occupying; what works in a bedroom may not work in a kitchen, for example.

'Soft pinks are perfect for bedrooms , creating a peaceful and nurturing environment conducive to rest and relaxation,' Lichtenstein explains. 'Blush tones on the walls or bedding can add a touch of romance and coziness.'

Meanwhile, consider pink statement pieces for spaces that have already been painted as a preferred color.

'A pink accent wall or pink furniture can add warmth and personality to a living room,' Lichtenstein says. 'When paired with neutral tones, pink can create a sophisticated and inviting space for entertaining or unwinding.'

Styling is an art, and one of the essential ways to keep a pink space feeling palatable is ensuring pink does not dominate a room.

'When decorating with pink , balance is key,' Lichtenstein says. 'Use pink as an accent color against a backdrop of neutral tones to prevent the space from feeling overwhelming. Pink cushions throws, or artwork can add pops of color without dominating the room.'

Finally, keep a pink room visually appealing by introducing a variety of materials.

'Incorporate various textures to add depth and interest to a pink space,' Lichtenstein says. 'Good options are velvet pink pillows, silk curtains, or a plush pink rug. Mixing materials creates a rich, layered look that enhances the color's appeal.'

We love how Whitfield has provided ample pink textures in her bedroom. We would recommend starting with one statement piece, such as the pink curtains, and seeing how it makes the room feel before incorporating several pink decals.
