    Driver charged after allegedly going 113 mph on 288 in Chesterfield

    CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A driver was charged with reckless driving in Chesterfield County after police said they were driving 113 mph on Route 288.

    According to a post on the Chesterfield County Police Department’s Facebook page on Friday, Aug. 2, the driver was going 113 mph on Route 288, where the speed limit is 65 miles per hour.

    The driver, who was not identified by police, was charged with reckless driving and summoned to appear in traffic court.

    Chesterfield Police is reminding drivers that speeding is not only illegal but also endangers lives.
