A High-Flying Sign From Heaven Reminded Her of Her Mother’s Love: ‘She’s Still Nearby’

Woman’s World reader Dawn Jenkins received a beautiful sign from Heaven as a reminder that her mother would always be nearby.

Dawn's Guardian Angel story told in her own words:

My mother always had a strong belief in divine intervention. Growing up, we went to church every Sunday. There were many times over the years that I would hear my mother tell stories of times when she believed that God had lent a hand.

My sisters and I eventually left home. Some of us joined the Marine Corps and even married Marines, which spread us all over the world. Eventually, as retirements came about, we all made the decision to move to Florida, where our parents lived. After so many years of being far away from each other, it was nice to be so close.

A favorite activity was sharing morning coffee, reading Woman’s World and watching hot-air balloons floating by.

Then after four years, my mother passed away suddenly in her sleep. No matter how it happens, you’re never prepared to lose a loved one. She’d been planning a big Fourth of July get-together for the whole family. This was scheduled to happen in just four days.

We decided to go ahead with the event as a memorial to her. The morning of the party, my dad was drinking his coffee as usual when a hot-air balloon landed in the community yard directly behind the house. He yelled for everyone to come see. He said Mom sent this balloon to let us know she was okay.

Most of the balloons that we’ve seen are usually striped, often rainbow colors. This one had red roses on it. Red was her favorite color. Roses were her favorite flower.

As 'Woman’s World' reader Pamela Klemm said her last goodbye to her father, a beautiful fragrance filled the air, bringing her peace.

Mom made me promise to look after my dad when she was no longer around. About a year later, he and I were coming back from a doctor’s appointment. As we stopped for a traffic light, I looked up and saw that same balloon covered in red roses. I guess she was thanking me for keeping my promise. Losing her so suddenly, it’s comforting to think she’s still nearby.
