Ahead of a potential return this weekend at SummerSlam, a new rumor claims Roman Reigns could get a nickname change once he is back in WWE.

The biggest wrestling event of the summer is nearly here and there are a lot of WWE rumors floating around ahead of the card in Cleveland, Ohio. One of the most notable is Bloodline leader Roman Reigns making his highly anticipated comeback to WWE television.

One of the top storylines on Smackdown in recent months is Solo Sikoa usurping Reign’s spot as the “Tribal Chief” of his new and more vicious version of the Bloodline. Since taking control, he has kicked out Jimmy Uso and their wise man Paul Heyman. He has also brought in relatives Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa.

It is just a matter of time before Reigns returns and confronts Sikoa over his recent transgressions. And it seems when he arrives he may be given an altered nickname.

On Friday, popular wrestling news X account Wrestle Votes reported “With the impending return of Roman Reigns, sources state one of the discussed ideas is focused around Reigns claiming to be ” The Original Tribal Chief” in response to the last few months of Solo Sikoa’s proclamations.”

The branding change makes sense and likely confirms what many have assumed. When Reigns is back, he will be in a major feud with Sikoa over control of the Bloodline and to decide who is the true “Tribal Chief” in the popular faction.
