Offensive lineman Pat Elflein signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers on Friday. Financial terms were not disclosed for Elflein, who last played in an NFL game in 2022. He signed with the Arizona Cardinals in July 2023 before being placed on injured reserve the following month. Elflein, 30, started 64 of the 65 career games in which he played with the Minnesota Vikings (2017-20), New York Jets (2020) and Carolina Panthers (2021-22). He was selected by the Vikings in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft out of Ohio State. The 49ers waived offensive lineman Briason Mays in a corresponding move on Friday. Mays, 24, signed with San Francisco after playing collegiately with West Virginia (2018-20) and Southern Mississippi (2021-23). --Field Level Media
