We’re not normally keen on going to shows where the artist is explicitly “Trying to Break [Our] Hearts,” but for Jeff Tweedy , we’ll make an exception.
The Wilco frontman, fresh off a weekend of headline shows at the band’s very-own Solid Sound Festival last month at North Adams, Massachusetts’ Mass MoCA museum, announced this week that he’s striking out on his own this fall along with special guest Elizabeth Moen.
And yes, he’ll be heading out Via Chicago. Or, Evanston to start. Then Chicago. But why split hairs?
Later on in the autumnal run, the 56-year-old troubadour will stage a mini three-show residency at Woodstock, NY’s Bearsville Theatre from Oct. 11-13. After that, Tweedy will headline one night at Buffalo’s Buffalo State Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
Having had the opportunity to see Wilco at the Beacon Theater just a few months ago, as the band trotted out a greatest-hits set in advance of their Solid Sound appearances, we can attest that Jeff Tweedy and Wilco still have it.
The alt-country rockers turned indie-rock kings turned dad-rock ambassadors show no signs of slowing down, either, having released two LPs and an EP since 2022. Therefore, this fall, we recommend you take your chance to see the band’s frontman on his own.
As of now, tickets are available for all festival and concert dates.
Prices start at $60 before fees on Vivid Seats at the time of publication for select concerts.
Other shows have seats going for anywhere from $82 to $700 before fees.
For more information, we have everything you need to know and more about Jeff Tweedy’s 2024 solo tour below.
All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.

Evanston Folk Festival
Prior to the tour, Tweedy will serve as one of the main attractions at this year’s Evanston Folk Festival .
Other big names on the lineup include Rufus Wainwright , Deer Tick , Bonny “Prince” Billy, and more. If you like acoustic guitar and live in the Chicagoland area, this weekend of performances and conversation is the place to be.
Although we can’t confirm what Jeff Tweedy will take to the stage on his forthcoming solo tour, here’s a look at what he performed during his Jeff Tweedy & Friends set at Solid Sound Festival last month, courtesy of Set List FM .
Elizabeth Moen is a singer-songwriter based in (where else but) Chicago, IL. Known for her big, bluesy voice, Moen has previously opened up for Hozier, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Regina Spector, and more.
If you’d like to acquaint yourself with her sound, Moen’s vast back catalog can be found here .
