According to a recent report from Gameplaycassi, the two upcoming action RPGs Black Myth: Wukong and Phantom Blade Zero which were featured in the recent PlayStation ChinaJoy 2024 event caused some worries about being PlayStation exclusives. The developers responded to this by saying they do not currently have console exclusivity deals. According to the report, Journalists present at the ChinaJoy exhibition were able to communicate with representatives of developers Game Science and S-GAME about exclusivity, and they noted PlayStation provides comprehensive support in promoting the games in China and abroad. Additionally, PlayStation are reportedly helping with marketing for Phantom Blade Zero by supplying demo stations at events.

Nintendo have announced that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team will be added to the Game Boy Advance – Nintendo Switch Online catalog on August 9. A trailer for the game was also released. In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, “you’ve found yourself in a new world, one where you’re now a Pokemon yourself and can speak and interact with other Pokemon.”

Publisher THQ Nordic and developer Alkimia Interactive have released a new trailer for the upcoming Gothic Remake. Publisher Square Enix and developer Deck Nine Games have revealed the “Final Fantasy VII Outfit Pack” for the upcoming Life is Strange title Life is Strange: Double Exposure. The “Final Fantasy VII Outfit Pack” includes the Moogle coat with a sculpted beanie and four indoor outfits themed around monstrous allies and fearsome foes: Chocobo, Cactuar, Bomb, and Tonberry. Each Outfit Pack lets you change up Max’s look with one new outfit available for Max to wear in each chapter of the story. Additionally, players can pre-order the Life is Strange: Double Exposure Ultimate Edition now to gain Advanced Access to Chapters 1 and 2 starting on October 15 2024, two weeks ahead of the release of the full game. Life is Strange: Double Exposure will launch on October 29, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store.

In a recent showcase, publisher THQ Nordic and developer Bugbear Entertainment announced Wreckfest 2. The game will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam. A trailer was also released showing several cars and a cutscene sequence. A release date was not announced. In Wreckfest 2, you will “Ascend to the throne of full-contact racing by breaking the rules—and everything else—on your way to victory.”
