    Stephanie Pugliese

    Specialty retailer American Eagle Outfitters (AEO) announced the appointment of Stephanie Pugliese to the company’s board of directors as an independent director. Pugliese served as president of the Americas at Under Armour from 2019 to 2023. Prior to that, she spent 11 years at Duluth Holdings, most recently serving as president and chief executive officer and a board member from 2015 to 2019. She spent her early career as a vice president and general merchandise manager at Lands’ End and vice president of merchandising at Ann Inc.

    Mara Sirhal

    Conglomerate Qurate Retail Group announced the appointment of Mara Sirhal as its chief merchandising officer for QVC U.S., the company’s largest business unit. Sirhal brings more than 20 years of experience in merchandising, product and brand development as well as sourcing for both department and specialty retail models. In this role, she will develop and lead QVC’s merchandising strategy across all categories—home, fashion, beauty, electronics and jewelry—as well as oversee QVC’s buying, planning and programming organization and lead QVC’s design development and global sourcing team. Sirhal will report to Mike Fitzharris, president of QVC. The role was previously held by Stacy Bowe, who was appointed President of Qurate Retail’s HSN business unit in February.

    Baby and children’s apparel company Carter’s announced that Allison Peterson has joined the company as executive vice president, chief retail and digital officer. Raghu Sagi has been named executive vice president, chief information and technology officer. Both new hires have extensive e-commerce experience and will report to Michael Casey, chairman and chief executive officer of the company.

    Creighton Kiper

    American retail corporation Walmart announced that Creighton Kiper, former vice president of beauty for Walmart U.S., will now lead merchandising for Walmart’s home division as senior Vice president. With this promotion, Creighton heads one of Walmart’s key merchandising portfolios, bringing his expertise in strategic business transformation to continue growing, evolving and building credibility for Walmart Home. Since joining Walmart in 2008, Creighton has held leadership roles across various merchandising categories.

    International fashion retailer Primark has appointed former Tesco commercial director Nigel Jones as chief operating officer. In this new role, Jones will oversee the global supply chain and logistics as well as its technology and business transformation function. After spending 25 years in the supermarket business, Jones served as Whitbread’s group operations and transformation director for seven years.

    Sevonne Eliyahu

    AI-enabled inventory management software firm Onebeat announced the appointment of start-up scaling expert Sevonne Eliyahu as chief revenue officer to accelerate market expansion and enhance growth. Her appointment is expected to drive the adoption of AI-led inventory management in the U.S. market as well as other locales. Eliyahu brings nearly two decades of growth strategy and executive experience at tech giants, including SimilarWeb and LivePerson. As the recent president of Gravyty, she played a pivotal role in integrating AI and technology to enhance community engagement and fundraising efforts for educational institutions and nonprofits.

    ParcelLab

    Global post-purchase customer experience platform ParcelLab has named technology leader Giles Whiting as chief executive officer. Giles first joined the company as president earlier this year and will now take over CEO responsibilities from co-founder Tobias Buxhoidt, who is stepping into the role of executive chairman and chief innovation officer. Whiting has guided several business-to-business software-as-a-service companies through growth and global expansion, most recently serving as the managing director and chief operating officer of Forsta as well as operating officer at growth investor Verdane.

    Eva Erdmann

    New York-based owner of luxury accessories and lifestyle brands Tapestry has appointed Eva Erdmann as chief executive officer and brand president of Kate Spade . In this role, she will have oversight of all aspects of the business, with a focus on accelerating innovation to drive consumer connections and sustainable global growth. Erdmann will join the brand in October, succeeding Liz Fraser, who is leaving the company in September. She will report directly to Joanne Crevoiserat, CEO of Tapestry, and will become a member of the company’s executive committee.

    International Danish fashion event Copenhagen Fashion Week has promoted Isabella Rose, director of communications and digital, to the position of chief operating officer, Sourcing Journal’s sister publication, WWD, reported. Rose joined CPHFW in July 2020 as digital strategist before being promoted to head of digital and communications two months later, according to her LinkedIn.

    Luis Eraña

    Freight forwarder and logistics and supply chain solutions provider Alba Wheels Up announced that Luis Eraña has been named chief executive officer, taking over from Damien Stile who will transition into the role of co-chairman. Eraña brings more than three decades of corporate leadership experience, most recently as CEO of ProTrans, which specializes in third-party logistics for manufacturing supply chains within North America.
