If you're like a lot of people, you chug the pickle juice right out of a jar and call it a day, but if you want something different, you can turn that leftover pickle juice into an amazing, refreshing summer dip that will have you enjoying veggies in a whole new way.

Content creator @plantyou (real name Carleigh Bodrug) shares lots of great tips on how to use food scraps to make new dishes. It's a way to get creative and cut back on food waste, too. All of Bodrug's recipes are plant-based, so if you're looking to work more plants into your diet she's a must-follow.

Recently, Carleigh showed her fans on TikTok how to make a quick and easy dip that will add some zing to your veggies. Rather than throwing out her pickle juice, she adds it to tahini to make a two-ingredient dip.

Tahini, a paste made from ground sesame seeds, has a rich, nutty flavor and a smooth, creamy texture. Tahini is a key ingredient in hummus and the sesame paste is full of healthy fats, protein, and vitamins and minerals, including calcium, iron and magnesium.

In the video, Bodrug said that she adds a cup of tahini to the juice right in the jar, but the amount of tahini you use will depend on how much pickle juice is in the jar. After she adds the tahini, she puts the lid of the jar on tight and gives it a good shake to blend the juice and tahini together. After a few vigorous shakes, you get a thick "magical dill dip" that you can serve with veggies, crackers or bread. You can also try it as a sandwich spread. We think it would be great on a turkey sandwich with cucumbers.

In the video, Bodrug added some crispy chickpeas to the dip, drizzled it with olive oil, and then used flatbread to scoop it up.

We can see adding some fresh lemon juice and using it as a spread for an everything bagel. Just top it with some veggies and smoked salmon and you have a tasty breakfast or lunch.
