Illinois Secretary of State to discontinue teen summer DMV program

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — Illinois teens have a few more weekends to take advantage of a special driving program.

The Secretary of State’s Office has announced the teen summer DMV program will end on August 24th.

The initiative expands services to help young adults get their licenses or permits quickly and conveniently.

In the past two months, more than 50,000 teens have received their first driver’s licenses.
