Funny Shih-Tzu Goes Outside and 'Pouts on the Driveway' When He Doesn't Get Attention

Those who have never had the pleasure of being dog parents may not realize this, but those of us who have know it's the truth: Dogs can have bigger personalities than people do. They may not be able to communicate with us using human language, but they communicate in every other possible way, from the noises they make to the side eye they are perfectly capable of giving us when they're tired of us. It is what it is, and sometimes, you just have to learn how to live with a drama queen in your life!

But this dog is really taking it to the next level. When things aren't going his way, he decides to make his reaction into a true work of performance art — and he's going to involve the neighborhood if he can help it!

Recently, @frankietheshiht on TikTok shared this video of what happens when her Shih-Tzu , Frankie, simply isn't getting the attention he believes he's deserving of. We can see the dog laying at the end of the driveway, looking so sad, like his family has punished him and sent him packing.

"When Frankie doesn't get attention for five minutes, he goes outside and pouts on the driveway so that the neighbors will think he's neglected," says the video.

If someone didn't know any better, his trick would probably work. He looks so sad! Who wouldn't want to stop by and give him a ton of pets that his family is clearly refusing to dole out?

This is common stuff for these sweet pups, though, according to others with their own little white dogs at home. "That is so Shih Tzu behavior," one commenter wrote.

Frankie has major main character energy. I wonder if he realizes his people aren't buying it?

    Frankie's Big Personality

As it turns out, the driveway stunt is really the least of his humans' problems: This dog is a lot , but in the best way possible!

Looking at the other videos on his TikTok, it seems like he checks all the "sassy dog" boxes. In one video, he's caught judging his mom for laying down on the couch when she should be doing other things. And in another, he's totally hogging the bed (though, in Frankie's defense, just about every dog does that).

Regardless, Frankie seems like a lot of fun, but you'd better not make him mad! He's too much.

Sassy dogs are kind of the best, and I have a feeling Frankie knows that. Now somebody go give that dog some attention!
