The Las Vegas Raiders wrapped up their third padded practice of training camp on Friday and the seventh practice of camp in total. As we do after every practice, we bring you an update on the quarterback competition between Aidan O'Connell and Gardner Minshew and how Friday's practice unfolded for the duo.

O'Connell and Minshew have been inconsistent through two weeks of camp, but Friday was the best performance by Raiders' signal-callers thus far.

Both quarterbacks orchestrated multiple touchdown drives and played efficient and turnover-free football. Minshew received the first-team reps to start practice, but O'Connell also received some drives with the starters.

Based on beat writer observations, O'Connell was the best offensive player on the field for Las Vegas on Friday. The 25-year-old started his day with a touchdown pass to Tre Tucker during 7-on-7 period, per Levi Edwards of Raiders.com.

After that, O'Connell led an impressive two-minute touchdown drive during a team drill. Levi Damien of Raiders Wire added more information about the drive, stating that O'Connell connected with Jakobi Meyers and Tre Tucker on two deep balls before finding Brock Bowers for a short touchdown pass.

According to Edwards, the former fourth-round pick ended his brilliant day with a long pass to a well-covered DJ Turner.

Though O'Connell stole the show on Friday, Minshew also had an outstanding practice. According to Vic Tafur of the Athletic, the 28-year-old also had an exceptional two-minute drive during team drills, one that featured Tre Tucker.

Minshew also connected with undrafted free-agent rookie Ramel Keyton for a touchdown during team period, per Edwards.

There is still a ton of work left to do, but Friday's practice was an excellent day for the Raiders' quarterbacks. As the first preseason game nears, practices become more valuable and meaningful for O'Connell and Minshew.
