Former Giants RB Brandon Jacobs Reveals He Did Cocaine Before Rushing For Over 330 Yards In High School Game

He might’ve slimmed down some once he was further into his NFL career, but Brandon Jacobs checked into the 2005 NFL Scouting Combine at 6-4 1/2, weighing 264 pounds. Oh, and he ran a 4.56-second 40, with a 37-inch vertical leap to boot.

In other words, dude was a brick sh*thouse and the load of all loads to bring down. An absolute unit if there ever was one. He was part of two New York Giants Super Bowl-winning teams as well. Maybe Jacobs not being so much of a household name these days is because his peak was rather brief in the pros. Just felt compelled to establish how good Jacobs was in his heyday.

That brings me to this recent revelation from Jacobs that I’ve only just discovered. He hopped on the Raw Room podcast and casually dropped details about how the only time he ever did cocaine, he proceeded to rush for 338 yards and four TDs in a high school game. I’ll transcribe the best bits below. Profane language incoming from that whole clip, by the way!

“It was one of my homeboys. He had graduated the year before me. I was walking into the weight room, and he’s like ‘Hey guess what I got? […] I got that white girl.’

I’m like, oh for real?’You wanna try it?’ I’m like yeah, lemme try it…338 [yards], four touchdowns. Killed it. I destroyed it. […] It was easy — I felt like I was the only one out there! I ain’t never did it again. I shoulda did it again.”

Amazing on Jacobs’ part to ignore the booger sugar — or should I say, “white girl” as he and his pal used to call it LMAO — in the City That Never Sleeps. I mean come on, cocaine is implied in the nickname for New York City. If you want to get technical, correct, the Giants and Jets do play in New Jersey. You know what I mean. They’re right across the Hudson River if they aren’t living in the Big Apple. That eternal nightlife scene is well within reach.

What the podcasters touch on was my first takeaway once I heard Jacobs’ yarn, too: Is there any high school running back you’d less rather tackle than a late-teen, coked-up Brandon Jacobs? If he was really big by NFL standards, think about what the average high schooler looked like going up against him. Would’ve been bad enough for an average game. Throw in a little white powder to the mix? Holy Hulk-out, Batman.

Sadly the only “Jacobs” I could find a high school reel for on YouTube was Josh, currently of the Green Bay Packers. Maybe the degree to which Brandon truck-sticked hapless defenders at the prep level — particularly in his coke-fueled game — yielded grisly enough footage to compel the videographers to burn the tapes.
