    Emma Hayes' team have been perfect so far in the competition with three wins from three in the group stages as they signed off for the knockouts with a 2-1 victory over Australia.

    Japan lost out to Spain in their opening game, with the current world champions also qualifying for the quarterfinals, via a flawless group stage campaign.

    This 2024 Olympics quarterfinal match takes place at the Parc des Princes in Paris, France and kicks off on Saturday, August 3 at 3:00 p.m. local time.

    Hayes will be forced into at least one change, with midfield star Sam Coffey suspended for this game, after picking up her second yellow card of the competition against Australia.

    Korbin Albert is expected to come in as a replacement, with Tierna Davidson still struggling with a leg injury, and Emily Sonnett set to continue in the heart of Hayes' defence.

    USWNT predicted starting XI (4-3-3, right to left): Naeher (GK) — Fox, Girma, Sonnett, Dunn — Horan, Lavelle, Albert — Rodman, Swanson, Smith.

    After wrapping up their final group game with a 3-1 win over Nigeria, Japan could name an unchanged starting lineup, including Manchester City star Yui Hasegawa .
