Orange Cat Using Fluffy Brother's Tail as a Pillow Gives True Sibling Energy

Be honest, what good are siblings if we can't use them for our own personal gain? They're good for nothing. If you can't use them for free labor and some company sometimes, you don't even need them!

Luckily for an orange cat on Friday, August 2nd, her brother was ready and willing to put in work  At that moment, she really needed a nice pillow to keep her pretty head off the cold floor, and his fluffy tail was just the thing for the job:

My favorite part of The Bean's decision to use her brother as a pillow is that there is literally a rug right there. She did not need to inconvenience her brother, and she did anyway. It's the epitome of sibling-hood.

In other videos, their mom has shown us that these two sweet kitties are obsessed with each other! If you thought The Bean and the fluffy one were alone in this house, you'd be wrong. In fact, there are four cats here:

    1. Charles (AKA Big Fluff)
    2. The Bean (the orange queen)
    3. Agatha (also orange)
    4. Bob (toothless, orange king)

Charles has an awful lot of orange to contend with, but he really lucked out: all of these cats get along great. Though Bean is using his tail as a pillow, at least she's not trying to bite it. Remember, things could always be worse. Especially for a fluffy kitty living in a house full of orange cats!

How Do Cats Show They Love Each Other?

Clearly, The Bean and Charles love each other very much. Mom has said so, but if you look back at all of their videos, you'll also see that they're always together and can usually be found cuddling in a window somewhere. That's not the only way to tell if your cats are best friends, though. If you've got a pair of soulmates on your hands, you'll notice that they:

    1. Share toys
    2. Purr when the other comes near them
    3. Groom each other often
    4. Bump heads
    5. Rub into each other a lot
    6. Seek each other out even when there are other options available

There is nothing wrong or concerning about two cats who have bonded together. It is not indicative of "littermate syndrome," which is a legitimate issue for dogs, and it often doesn't indicate separation anxiety, either, as long as they're only apart for short periods of time. If you see a "bonded pair" advertised at a shelter, take them seriously - it doesn't just mean they're cute together, They need each other!
