Liverpool and Manchester United go head-to-head in a pre-season friendly in the United States this weekend where the Reds will hope to round off their stateside tour with a victory against their biggest rivals.

Arne Slot's side have already seen off Real Betis ( 1-0 ) and Arsenal ( 2-1 ) in their two previous games on US soil and they'll be aiming to make it a hattrick of victories before they return to England next week.

As for the Red Devils, this clash marks the third and final game of their own pre-season tour of America, having also played Arsenal and Real Betis over the last week. Erik ten Hag's side lost 2-1 to the Gunners last Saturday, before overcoming the La Liga outfit with a 3-2 win on Wednesday.

    Team news

Euro 2024 stars Diogo Jota , Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch have all returned to the fold this week and will be expected to play a part against their opponents. However, Slot will still remain without his Copa America contingent, meaning Alisson , Alexis Mac Allister , Darwin Nunez and Diaz will not be present.

On another positive note, the Dutchman reported no fresh injury concerns following the 2-1 victory over Arsenal in midweek, meaning a similar lineup could once again be named for the final game of the pre-season tour.

Curtis Jones was fit enough for a first-half cameo in the midweek encounter too, so it is hoped he will be on show once more. Andy Robertson , however, will not be quite as fortunate as he remains in the care of the medical team and will play no part against the Red Devils.
