As the season nears, teams around the league are scrambling to figure out which players will be part of their final 53-man rosters. The New York Giants are no different as they continue to work out players to ensure no gaps are missed.

On Thursday, the Giants worked out Jack Wilson, a 6-foot-11, 338-pound offensive lineman out of Washington State.

Wilson was a two-sport collegiate athlete who hasn’t seen the football field since 2022. He walked on to the Cougars’ football team as a red-shirt sophomore after transferring from Idaho. He didn’t play in any games that year.

In 2021, Wilson appeared in all 13 games, mostly field goal and PAT tries, according to the school website.

Wilson’s senior season in 2022 was more of the same, mostly special teams appearances but he did play both right tackle and left tackle in different games that year. In total, he appeared in 25 collegiate football games.

Wilson’s size is likely what caught the eye of the Giants. You can’t teach size. But you can teach a big guy how to use that size.

Still, until he inks his name, there’s no telling what the Giants will do with Wilson. If anything at all.
