    Olympics 2024 LIVE!

Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz took centre stage on a busy Day 9 at the Olympic Games in Paris . The two tennis superstars played out an engrossing latest chapter in their budding rivalry in the men’s singles gold medal match at Roland Garros, with the sublime Djokovic gaining revenge to claim the rare career Golden Slam just three weeks after Alcaraz had beaten him in the Wimbledon final for the second year in a row.

There is plenty more action to look forward to on a bumper Sunday, with the men’s 100m final headlining the evening athletics schedule and Team GB star Keely Hodgkinson up again in the 800m semi-finals as well as Matthew Hudson-Smith beginning his 400m campaign. The women’s 200m event started this morning, with new 100m champion Julien Alfred through plus Gabby Thomas and British trio Dina Asher-Smith, Daryll Neita and Bianca Williams, though Shericka Jackson withdrew. Over at Le Golf National, Tommy Fleetwood had to settle for silver in the end in a thrilling finish to the men’s final round as Scottie Scheffler took gold.

Team GB’s Charlotte Fry added individual dressage bronze to yesterday’s team bronze won at the Chateau de Versailles after the men’s hockey stars suffered penalty shootout heartbreak in their quarter-final against India, while there was silver for Amber Rutter after a controversial women’s skeet final shoot-off and bronze for Harry Hepworth in the men’s vault final as Jake Jarman missed out at the last. The swimming concludes tonight with one last batch of finals as Adam Peaty makes his relay return after Covid. Follow all the latest updates from the Paris Olympics live below!
