Caitlin Clark Drops Honest Admission About Olympics

While the likes of Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart, and Brittney Griner, to name a few, are playing their hearts out in Paris as part of Team USA, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been enjoying the WNBA's Olympic break as much as she possibly can.
Technically, the Fever have already resumed practice as of Tuesday, but during her week-long basketball hiatus, the 22-year-old made sure to make the most of her time off.
Clark had some fun under the sun with Indiana Fever teammates Lexie Hull and Katie Lou Samuelson, as well as boyfriend Connor McCaffrey. The internet detectives deduced Clark's vacation destination, and they believe she was in Mexico.
Despite being on break, however, the Rookie of the Year frontrunner has still taken the time to keep herself up to speed with Team USA's progress in the Summer Games. At the same time, Clark also dropped an honest admission about learning a few things along the way.
"Honestly, I watched a good amount of [the Olympics], and I've learned about some sports that I didn't even know existed," she told Iowa-based reporter Keith Murphy. "I haven't only watched basketball."

Clark has been a basketball buff since she was a little girl in Des Moines, Iowa, and it's only now that she's been exposed to the different sports offerings of the Olympics.
For context, 32 different sports are being played in the Summer Games, and I'm pretty sure casual fans like Clark have never encountered a few of them.
The former Iowa Hawkeyes superstar did say, though, that it's still been basketball that she's kept the closest eye on.
"But I watch a good amount of the basketball," she continued. "It's fun. International basketball is just so much different than especially the college game, but even the WNBA game or the NBA game."
Clark will join the rest of America when they cheer on Team USA in their third and final group game on Sunday against Germany. They are still the heavy favorites to go all the way and win a record 10th gold medal in the Olympics.
