Basic Chili Recipe:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
3 cloves of minced garlic
1 small bell pepper chopped
1 (15-ounce) can of diced tomatoes with juice
1 (15 ounces) can of kidney beans, cannellini beans, pinto beans or black beans drained
1 (14.5 ounces) can of stewed tomatoes
1 or more cups water (depending on the thickness you prefer)
2 tablespoons of chili powder
1 teaspoon of cumin ground
1 teaspoon granulated garlic powder.
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
In a large saucepan, saute the ground beef with onions until the pink is gone.
Add the garlic for around 2 minutes longer.
Add all the rest of the ingredients and simmer for 35 minutes.
