    Crisp County Sheriff’s Office

On August 1, 2024, around 4:00 P.M., a Crisp County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet Monte Carlo for improper stopping after the Deputy witnessed the driver stopping in the middle of the road and not wearing a seatbelt. Initially, the driver failed to stop after the Deputy activated lights and sirens. The car finally stopped after going around the Rosewood Estates subdivision. Upon approaching the vehicle, the Deputy detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of suspected marijuana, suspected Oxycodone, suspected Adderall, a digital scale, a grinder, and a firearm. Davis was arrested and transported to
the Crisp County Detention Center without incident.

Samuel Davis, a 44-year-old male from Cordele, Georgia, faces the following charges.

    • Possession of a Schedule I or II Controlled Substance
    • Possession of Marijuana- Felony
    • Possession of a Firearm During Commission of a Crime
    • Pills not the Original Container
    • Fleeing or Attempting to Elude and other traffic violations.
