Irish pub owner leaves savage response for American after bad Google review

A Galway pub has cheekily hit back at a poor Google review from an American tourist .

The Tigin bar, nestled in the heart of Galway city and opened its doors in March 2023, has been showered with compliments for serving a cracking pint. The establishment, whose name means "small cottage", boasts a stellar 4.8/5 rating from That Guinness Girl for its top-notch Guinness.

But not everyone's toasting to the pub's success. A one-star Google review from a US visitor challenged the glowing reputation, as reported by Galway Beo.

The disgruntled patron described Tigin as "almost a serviceable bar, with almost friendly staff. However, they have just missed the mark".

Interestingly, this particular critic seems to have a penchant for negativity, having penned exclusively one-star reviews on Google, including critiques of a hospital, a car wash stateside, and of course, Tigin.
