Unfortunately, the couple had different priorities. Affleck wanted to stay in LA with his kids, while Armas hoped to travel. “When she is not working, she wants to travel,” the source added. “She doesn’t want to settle down in Los Angeles. Ben needs to live in LA since his kids do.”

While Armas didn’t like the public attention on her relationship, Affleck likely didn’t appreciate it either. On Kevin Heart’s talk show, Hart to Heart , he spoke about why the public perceives him as angry. In the past, he also mentioned how he wanted to live his life out of the spotlight, which led to issues while dating and marrying Jennifer Lopez.

“People see me, and they’re like, ‘Why is this dude always mad?’ Because somebody has their camera sticking in my face. And I’m like, ‘OK, here we go,’” Affleck said.
