North Carolina's Layoff Crisis Deepens: Two More Companies Announce Mass Job Cuts

Two more businesses in North Carolina have announced mass layoffs this week.

Under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act, employers with more than 100 full-time workers must provide a 60-day notice before laying off 50 or more employees at a single site.

On July 29, Winn Management Group LLC and Columbus McKinnon Corporation filed the necessary paperwork with the North Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce.
