This Stunning 4-Piece Acacia Wood Outdoor Patio Set Looks Similar to Serena & Lily That’s Almost 7x the Price

If you have a patio or a backyard large enough for some nice furniture, you know how hard it is to find good patio sets. Between style and quality, it can also be difficult to simply find affordable pieces in general. Well, if you’ve been looking for an aesthetically-pleasing patio furniture set that won’t break the bank, Bed Bath & Beyond has some that are worth checking out. Plus one of them looks a lot like a Serena & Lily set that is almost 7x the price.
Despite the fact that Bed Bath & Beyond closed all of their stores in April 2023 after filing for bankruptcy, Overstock.com bought it by August 2023 and merged their two sites. So now you can buy bedding, bathroom essentials and patio furniture from the once-popular home goods store. And with that said, Bed Bath & Beyond’s Outdoor 4 Piece Acacia Wood Chat Set Conversation Sofa and Table Set is the product we’re highlighting today. It was originally $722 but is now on sale for $376.54, which is a pretty good deal for four items of furniture.
As its listing states, this set comes with four pieces: a 49.5-inch loveseat, two 27.5 inch single-person chairs and one table (which measures 40 inches long by 16 inches tall and 19.5 inches wide). It is also made from “premium” acacia wood “which can ensure the overall durability” of the set. Even though the photos show a red option, customers can only purchase a white or grey option for the cushions, which are included in the set as well.
For less than $400, getting four pieces of furniture is a really good deal and the reviews reflect that.
“Cannot beat this set for the price,” one person wrote. “Cushions are on the thinner side but still very comfortable.”
Another shopper said that it was a “very nice garden set” that looks “perfect” and is “very comfortable.” Yet another reviewer wrote that assembling the set was “incredibly easy” and the acacia wood makes them lighter pieces of furniture.
“The chairs and the loveseat are comfortable with the cushions!” they wrote, saying that even though the cushions were thin they were comfortable. Plus the fabric is removable making them easier to clean. “...Overall the set looks beautiful freshly assembled. I'm hoping that the wood will wear well and can be refinished in the future if necessary.”
As we mentioned before, this Bed Bath & Beyond set is very similar to the Cliffside Teak Sofa by Serena & Lily. This currently costs $2,599.99 (but it was was originally $3,998). The design of this sofa is similar to Bed Bath & Beyond’s, except it’s made with “Grade A” teak wood, not acacia. And this listing is just for the sofa, alone, which is a bit bigger measuring 77.5 inches wide, 37.5 inches deep and 30.5 inches tall. The cushions also are a bit different with their square seam pattern.
If you’re looking for something a little closer and maybe higher quality than the first Bed Bath & Beyond option, the store also has a Christopher Knight Home set that is also pretty comparable. We’re talking about the Brooklyn Outdoor Acacia Wood 4-Seater Chat Set with Cushions , which is currently $925.29 (originally $1,072.99). Even though it’s made with the same acacia wood, it has a teak finish like the Serena & Lily couch.
So if you’ve been searching for affordable patio furniture that is also nice to look at, Bed Bath & Beyond might be a good place to start.
