It was recently disclosed that Penta El Zero Miedo, also known as Pentagón Jr., was possibly going to explore free agency once his AEW contract expires in the coming months. This subsequently led to online speculation that he could be WWE-bound, with the luchador acknowledging during an interview that if WWE wanted to offer him something, he would consider it. And now, indicating that Penta could be preparing for his AEW departure, it’s been noted that his legal representative applied for the trademarks “ Cero Miedo ,” “ Zero Miedo ,” and “ AN1MO ” last Thursday.

39-year-old Penta broke into the business back in 2007, initially working as a masked character called Zaius. Then, after gaining experience, he would go on to debut for AAA as Dark Dragon before becoming Pentagón Jr. During his time with AAA, he would also work on the El Rey series Lucha Underground, which made him known to North American fans and therefore paved the way for him to wrestle for PWG, Impact Wrestling, and MLW. Still, his career reached new heights when he joined AEW alongside his brother Rey Fénix in 2019, who it is believed is also set to become a free agent.
