Angel Reese has clapped back in the ongoing spat between Simone Biles and her former Team USA gymnastics squad mate , MyKayla Skinner.

The controversy was sparked by Skinner's remarks in a now-removed podcast, where she criticized the Team USA lineup before their victory at the Paris Olympics Women's Team event. "Besides Simone, I feel like the talent and the depth just isn't like what it used to be," Skinner commented."The girls just don't have the work ethic."

Biles didn't hold back , taking to social media with her teammates for a series of subtle jabs at Skinner, who bagged a silver in Tokyo.

"Lack of talent, lazy, Olympic champions," posted six-time Olympic gold medallist Biles on Instagram, alongside an image of herself with Jordan Chiles, Hezly Rivera, Jade Carey, and Lee, all draped in the stars and stripes.

Sunisa Lee joined the fray replying to Biles' post with: "Put a finger down if Simone Biles just ended you," accompanied by a hand emoji. Chiles, who competed with Biles and Lee in Paris, added her voice saying, "And that's on period!"

Following these exchanges, Skinner blocked Biles on social media platforms. "When she blocks Simone," Chiles remarked. Biles then shared on X: "Oop I've been blocked."

WNBA icon Reese has now thrown her two cents into the mix, supporting Biles' Instagram shade with her own fiery comment: "Clock it."

Biles snatched her second gold of the Paris Games on Thursday, triumphing in the All-Around competition which bumped up her Olympic medal count to nine, including a whopping six golds. The 27-year-old gymnastic dynamo, often hailed as the greatest of all time, confidently sported a GOAT necklace.

"It's a little ode...a lot of people love it they always call me the G.O.A.T," she confessed. "I thought it would be really special if I got one made."

"The haters hate it, and I love that even more. It's just a special part of me," Biles said further. After taking a two-year hiatus from gymnastics, Biles made a bold comeback last summer and openly shared with journalists her commitment to weekly therapy for the last three years.

"Three years ago, I never thought I'd step foot on the gymnastics floor again just because of everything that had happened," she revealed to the press following her individual all-around victory. "But with the help of [my coach] Cecile [Landi], I got back in the gym and worked really hard mentally and physically."

"Even this morning at 7:00 a.m., I saw my therapist. And there's a time change, so she is so amazing for allowing me to do that these couple of days here in Paris."

Biles is gearing up to take part in the individual vault, floor, and beam events, opening up further opportunities for medal success. It remains a mystery whether Biles will extend her career to the 2028 Games on home turf yet her return from Tokyo and her mental health advocacy are already cemented in history.

"It was a mental injury," she explained. "I think that was almost harder than physical because whenever you go to the doctor and you have a physical injury, they tell you three to six weeks, three to six months, all of that stuff. And so this, [there were] no time tells."
