The Doc announced an indefinite break from streaming in late June after he was accused of exchanging inappropriate messages with an underage fan back in 2017. A day after making that announcement, Dr Disrespect finally confirmed why he was banned from Twitch in 2020, taking to X (formerly Twitter) to reveal that these messages were indeed the catalyst for his removal from the platform. "These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more," he wrote. However, the streamer maintained, "Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed."
