Simone Biles Drops Massive Flex After Third Gold Medal Win At Olympics

If there was one event that would see Simone Biles finally cast away the ghost of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, it would have been the vault final.
Three years ago, it was on this same apparatus that Biles experienced the "twisties" -- an unexplained phenomenon wherein gymnasts lose coordination mid-air -- which ultimately forced her to withdraw from the competition altogether.
On Saturday, Biles took on the vault again. This time around, however, the heartbreak of Tokyo was finally overshadowed by a glorious gold-medal win.
Biles busted out the Yurchenko double pike, aka the Biles II, which is literally the most difficult vault in the sport. As soon as she landed her trademark move, it was pretty much over for the rest of the field.

Saturday's victory marked the 27-year-old's third gold medal in the Paris Games. Naturally, she just had to drop a major flex on Instagram.
Biles did not have any caption on her latest post. In truth, she didn't have to say anything. The three gold medals are more than enough to send her message across.
Biles' first gold came on Tuesday in the team final, which was followed by a second gold-medal finish on Thursday in the all-around final.
Biles, the most decorated U.S. gymnast in the history of the Summer Games, now has 10 medals to her name, which include seven gold.
She can up her tally to 12 before the Paris Olympics conclude, with the balance beam final and floor final scheduled on Monday.
