Ultimately, Biles' 15.300 average score for her two vaults was enough to edge out Andrade, who finished second with an average score of 14.966. American Jade Carey rounded out the top three after scoring a 14.466 average.

Biles and Andrade shared an endearing moment during the competition, which was caught on camera. The pair embraced with big smiles on their faces as Andrade congratulated Biles for yet another masterful performance.
