On Day 8 of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games , all eyes will be on the track and field athletes as American star Noah Lyles continues his quest for his first gold medal in the 100 meters at the Stade de France.

U.S. track athlete star, Lyles, made his official debut at the Paris Olympic Games and successfully advanced from the preliminary rounds of the 100-meter dash. However, Lyles, who currently claims the nickname "the fastest man in the world," did not have the start in Paris that he expected, adding an element of surprise to his performance.

In Lyles's preliminary heat on Saturday, the American engaged in a fierce competition, finishing second to Great Britain's Louie Hinchliffe, who trained with American Olympic champion Carl Lewis, with a time of 10.04 seconds.

Now, Lyles will look to improve his performance in the men's 100-meters semifinals with hopes of advancing to the finals later in the day.
