Fan-Filmed Footage Shows CM Punk Hugging Unexpected Person Following His SummerSlam Match

In 2011, CM Punk memorably called Stephanie McMahon “ idiotic ” during a Raw promo, which was intended to blur the line between reality and storyline. Therefore, many fans felt this was his true feeling towards Stephanie, as it’s well-known that he had no fondness for anyone in the McMahon family at that time. However, having worked hard to rebuild bridges following his return to WWE, he has now been filmed hugging Stephanie following his SummerSlam defeat to Drew McIntyre, seemingly confirming any ill feelings are well in the past.

47-year-old Stephanie began working for WWE after graduating from Boston University in 1998, and over the next 24 years, she worked her way up to eventually becoming WWE’s Chairwoman and Co-CEO after her father, Vince, retired. Still, her time in charge would be short-lived, as once Vince returned, she would resign herself, with it specualted she didn’t want to work with her father. And while she would appear on camera at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and WrestleMania XL, it’s understood that she has no official role within the company.
