Yellowstone isn’t returning with new episodes on August 4, but if you tune into Paramount Network on Sunday, you’ll get another exciting Bar Rescue marathon all day with an episode of Midtown Slump airing at 10:00 p.m. ET to shake things up a bit.

At long last, we finally have an official premiere date for Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2. On June 20, Paramount+ announced that Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2 will make its highly-anticipated return on Sunday, November 10th at 8:00 p.m. ET. Mark your calendars and clear you’re schedules, people. It’s happening!

When Yellowstone does finally return in November 2024, you’ll want to ensure you watch episodes live or record them for later viewing as Season 5, Part 2 episodes won’t be available for next-day streaming on Paramount+.

When Does ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5, Part 2 Premiere on Paramount Network and Peacock?

Another burning question that’s been answered in recent months? Whether or not beloved series star Kevin Costner, who plays powerful patriarch John Dutton, will be returning to film Yellowstone Season 5, Part 2. After more than a year of speculation, we can say with complete certainty (because Costner said so himself!) that he will not be filming new Yellowstone episodes.

Curious why exactly Costner bowed out in the show’s final hours? Decider detailed long-running drama between the actor and Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan in past posts, but in his June 20 Instagram video captioned, “An update for you guys. I’ll see you at the movies,”Costner also made it sound like Horizon : An American Saga — the multi-part Western movie he starred in, directed, co-wrote, and produced — also played a part in his decision.

“I just want to reach out and let you know that after this long year and a half of working on Horizon , and doing all the things that’s required and thinking about Yellowstone , that beloved series that I love, that I know you love, I just realized that I’m not going to be able to continue, Season 5B or into the future,” Costner said. “It was something that really changed me. I loved it and I know you loved it, and I just wanted to let you know that I won’t be returning. I love the relationship we’ve been able to develop, and I’ll see you at the movies.”

When talking to Extra ‘s Billy Bush days after his social media post, Costner said, “Yeah I just hadn’t heard anything about how [John Dutton’s death] would be done so it’s time to move on as gracefully as you can with something that’s been very important to you…It was time to move.”

With or without Costner’s return, it seems the future of Yellowstone was decided back in May 2023 when it was confirmed that Yellowstone Season 5 would be the show’s final season . Fear not, fans. Yellowstone spinoffs — currently titled 1944 and 2024 — are still in the works. Variety even reported that 2024 is expected to begin airing after Yellowstone ends, and the show will allegedly feature “new cast members and locations with some crossover characters as well.”
