Simone Biles wasn't competing in Sunday's uneven bars final, but she played the role of cheerleader for teammate Suni Lee as she took home a bronze medal and made Olympic history.

As Lee was preparing for her routine at the Paris Olympics, the gold medalist Biles shouted some words of encouragement to her Team USA teammate.

"C'mon you got it," Biles yelled to Lee .

Lee was the last of the competitors to go in the August 4 final but nailed her routine, earning a score of 14.8 to finish ahead of Tokyo Olympic champion Nina Derwael and earn a bronze medal.

Lee's medal made history, making her the first American woman to win multiple medals on the uneven bars.

While she has already taken home two gold medals of her own -- in the team competition and all-around final -- Biles has been supportive of other athletes at the Paris Olympics. She was heard cheering on Brazil's Rebeca Andrade in the all-around, and before the competition started she spoke up to make sure rival gymnasts had a place to sit on a crowded bus headed to practice.
