Bernese Mountain Dog's Adorable Request for Cheese Is Total Cuteness Overload

Dogs all have their ways of trying to convince their humans to do what they want, but most of them are exceptionally good at begging. Sometimes it involves the saddest noises you've other heard, other times it's the famous puppy dog eyes, and some especially crafty dogs combine the two for maximum results (it's so unfair). And when they figure out they're actually getting the treat they want, they will try so hard to be patient and earn it... even if they look like they're going to explode!

When it comes to patience, the dog in this video has really made it into an art... but I will admit that his mom was hanging it over her. Just give her the cheese already!

In this adorable video shared by @olivethebmd , we see this sweet girl, Olive ā€” a big but gentle Bernese Mountain Dog ā€” about to burst into flames when it comes to how badly she just wanted to eat some cheese.

In the beginning of the video, poor Olive is sitting like a good girl staring at the slice of cheese that her mom is holding out, asking her if she wants some (that's a rhetorical question if I've ever heard one).

This continues to go on for awhile, and Olive doesn't once try to snatch the cheese out of her mom's hand ā€” she knows what she must do in order to get what she wants in the end.

First, her mom tells her to bark, which she does, and then tells her to whisper, which she does (with the quietest little bark she could muster). Finally, she gets the cheese; it's a happy ending indeed!

    Is Cheese Good for Dogs?

Cheese is commonly used as a reward for dogs, or a way to disguise a pill they have to take. But is it okay to share your favorite dairy product with your favorite pup?

According to the American Kennel Club (AKC), it's important to remember that moderation is absolutely key . Since cheese is a high fat foot, too much of it can lead to weight gain and even pancreatitis.

Lower fat cheese, like mozzarella, can be a safe choice for your dog, along with cottage cheese.

It's also important to remember that, just like humans, dogs can be lactose intolerant, so look out for signs of tummy upset the first time you feed your dog cheese.

I sincerely hope that Olive has earned another piece of cheese for brightening the day of everyone who's been lucky enough to see this video on TikTok. She deserves it!
