It has been a long road for Sha'Carri Richardson. After being suspended from the 2021 Olympic Games, Richardson finally got her shot in the 2024 Paris Games.

And she did not disappoint. Richardson earned her place on the podium and won a silver medal in the women's 100m race. She finished just behind gold medalist Julien Alfred, so Richardson has nothing to be upset about in her first-ever Olympic run.

While the United States track star has not spoken publicly to the media in Paris, she was caught with a simple two-word message that shows her feelings about the win.

"Sha’Carri Richardson walked through the mixed zone here at the Stade de France just now. She said she still wasn’t talking. Asked if she was happy as she breezed past, she replied: “Very happy!”

There it is. After everything Richardson has been through, she admitted she is "very happy" with her performance in Paris.

Moreover, it marked the first time since 1996 that the Americans saw two women make the podium at the 100m race. Both Sha’Carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson got silver and bronze, respectively.

While Richardson was hoping for the gold, the race was quite the spectacle to see and it ended in a must-see finish.

Julien Alfred finished with a time of 10.72 while Richardson had a 10.87.

Still, after everything Sha'Carri Richardson has been through, winning a medal at the Olympics is an incredible honor and something to be proud of.
