Nia Jax says her victory at WWE SummerSlam meant a lot to her, as she has had a remarkable journey.

At WWE SummerSlam, Nia Jax defeated Bayley to win the WWE Women’s Championship. This marked her first title win since she returned to the company in September 2023 following her 2021 release.

Speaking at the WWE SummerSlam Post-Show , Nia Jax was asked to comment on her title win.

“It’s actually our first SummerSlam ever,” Nia Jax said. “I’ve never been a part of a SummerSlam, so this is my very first SummerSlam, so it does mean a lot. It was pretty incredible that Tiffy came out and shared the moment with me. My mother was there, my aunt was there. So it means a lot because it’s been quite a journey for me.”

    Nia Jax: I’m Extremely Grateful

Nia Jax was then asked about her victory and how it came less than a year after her return to the company. She expressed her gratitude and stated that she was grateful.

“It’s pretty incredible because a year ago, it was a different position for me,” Jax said. “But I’m extremely grateful for Triple H for taking a chance on me, not just a year ago but ten years ago when he hired me here, so it’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for the opportunity.”
