    Novak Djokovic Gets Emotional After Making Olympics History en Route to Winning First Gold Medal

    Better late than never, as some would say.

    This was certainly the case for Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic, who took down Carlos Alcaraz in the gold medal round of the 2024 Paris Games' men's single tennis event.

    Not only did he clinch his first-ever gold medal in the Olympics, he became the oldest player in Olympics history to win a gold medal in tennis at the age of 37.

    After securing the win over Alcarez, who he lost to in the Wimbledon weeks prior to the Olympics, he went to his family in the stands with emotions pouring out of him.

    It was an unforgettable for the legendary tennis player, who had not won a tournament all year before taking part in the Paris Olympics.

    Now that he has secured the one trophy missing in his cabinet, Djokovic has completed tennis and will go down in history as a man who won it all in the sport he loved with a burning passion.
