Spirit Halloween announced in June that it would open more than 1,500 stores this year.

Several locations opened on August 1, and more will open throughout the month.

While some people are excited to get a jump start on the creepy celebrations, others just want to enjoy summer.

“Saw a Spirit Halloween pop up in my city. Y’all are way too early bro,” wrote one person on X .

Another customer said they “literally skidded off the road” and into the parking lot when they saw the store was open, but admitted it “seems early” to start shopping.

“But I’ll allow it. Commence spooky season.”

Some joked that the retailer was celebrating “Summerween.”

For the most part, shoppers can’t wait to get into stores.

“I’m so excited for Spirit Halloween to open I might cry,” wrote another shopper on X.

“It’s crazy how you step foot through the doors of a Spirit Halloween, and suddenly life feels worth living again,” commented another customer.

    TOO SOON?

Customers had mixed reactions when Walmart started stocking shelves with popular fall flavors .

TikTok creator Markie Devo (@markie_devo) shared several new Halloween-inspired treats coming to shelves.

Kit Kat Ghost Toast, Glow-in-the-Dark Oreos, and Reese’s Werewolf Tracks are just a few that have already been spotted in stores.

A Walmart shopper was stoked to find pumpkin spice coffee at Walmart in early July and said she was “pretending it was October.”

Sprit Halloween announced over 1,500 stores will open this year.

To find the closest location near you, use the store locator app on Spirit’s website.

The company has locations across the US and Canada.

Unfortunately, not everyone shares the excitement.

“As much as I want to try it, it’s too early, like chill out, wait til August or September. I’m over summer, but damn,” commented one person.

“Man, I love Halloween but this early might burn me out,” another user commented.

Another person said that at this rate, there will be Christmas items in stores by next month.

Stores like Michaels , TJ Maxx , and Home Goods have also launched Halloween and fall decor and accessories.

Dollar Tree shoppers found a $1.25 dupe for a popular Michael’s Halloween decoration that is $30.

And see how to score a classic Pottery Barn Halloween accessory for just $1.25.
