According to the Daily Mail , Kate will soon be joining the Royal Family in Balmoral, a trip which will mark her longest journey since her cancer diagnosis. The Princess of Wales revealed her cancer diagnosis this year in an emotional video.

She told fans she had started preventative treatment after cancer had been found present during planned abdominal surgery. Kate stepped back from the public eye, before making her first appearance in months at the King's official birthday, Trooping the Colour, in June.

She then made an appearance at the men's Wimbledon Grand Slam in July, where she received a standing ovation from the crowd. Kate was joined by her daughter Charlotte and sister Pippa Middleton for the outing.

While undergoing her cancer treatment, Kate is believed to have spent most of her time at her family home in Windsor, Adelaide Cottage, and their holiday house Anmer Hall in Norfolk. A royal expert recently suggested Kate's Balmoral trip will be a welcome distraction from her cancer treatment.

Jennie Bond told OK! magazine : "It's been one heck of a year for the Royal Family so far and nothing would please the King more than to have his close family gathered together in the peace of Balmoral for a time to take stock together, mark the passing of an incredibly difficult few months and look to the future."

She added: "Like Catherine herself has said, cancer treatment brings with it a large measure of uncertainty and that must extend to whether she is able to spend part of the summer holidays at Balmoral. If she does go, I’m sure the whole family will want to surround her with love, support and renewed strength."
