‘Why is Sam’s Club offering a service it’s unable to provide,’ fumes shopper after they were denied membership perk

SAM'S Club shoppers called out the store over its curbside pickup service after their order was canceled.

Members slammed Sam's Club after it announced the service would no longer be free to all customers.

Starting August 19, the perk will only be free for Plus Members, which costs $110 annually.

All other customers will have to pay a $4 fee.

One shopper who upgraded their membership still had issues with getting their pickup order.

Their order was initially delayed and then ultimately canceled the next day.

"Why is Sam's Club offering a service it's unable to provide?" they wrote on X.

"Telling me "sorry for the inconvenience" simply isn't sufficient. I upgraded my membership for this?" they asked.

Sam's Club apologized, but this seems to be a bigger issue.

"I hate doing a Sam’s Club pick-up order. Why does it take 2 hours for y’all to get my stuff?" wrote another shopper.

A third member said using the service is always a frustrating experience.

"Sam’s club is p***ing me off. I did a pick up order for 3-4, and it’s 3:58, and it’s still in progress; it’s four things," the X user said.

DREADFUL DELIVERY

Sam's Club also announced this year that free shipping would no longer be available on all orders.

Only orders over $50 will qualify for free shipping starting August 19.

Everything else will be subject to an $8 flat shipping fee.

Previously, Plus members got free shipping on all orders.

The move has pushed some customers to cancel their memberships.

"Long-term Sam's Club Plus member, but I will cancel once the new shipping rates start on August 19," wrote a customer on X.

"Remind me again why I'm paying $110 annually. Amazon Prime is slightly higher and provides more than free shipping."

Other shoppers called it "the dumbest business decision ever."

“Peace out. Won't be renewing next year,” they added.

One member who canceled their membership after 30 years said they were hounded by the company.

Sam's Club shoppers recently spotted a dupe for Chick-fil-A nuggets at the store.
